Configuration Tab

Use options from the Configuration tab to customize select, save, and delete printing configurations. A printing configuration is a group of preset printing options such as paper settings, image compression, encryption, digital signatures, etc. You can use some of the printing configurations already available or specify your own. For example, you may want to create a series of printing configurations that each have specific image compression settings or printing destinations, depending on your document requirements.

 

To Customize Printing Configurations

1. Click the Configuration tab.

2. From the Configurations list, select a setting.

3. Click the Set Current button.  The tab options specified by the configuration setting, become the current printing settings.

4. Select options from the following tabs:

Paper Settings

To specify how a document prints.  See “The Paper Settings Tab”.

Image

Compression

To specify the image compression of black and white and color images.  See “The Image Compression Tab”.

Advanced Options

To specify ColorSpace, Multi-Language support, Post-Script or hyperlinks. See “The Advanced Options Tab”.

PDF Options

To specify the portability of a document.  See “The PDF Options Tab”.

Destination

To specify the output location of a document.  See “The Destination Tab”.

Security

To specify the protection level of a document.  See “The Security Tab”.

Watermarks

To specify a watermark for a document.  See “The Watermarks Tab”.

Exports

To specify the output file format of an exported document.  See “The Exports Tab”.

 

To Delete a Configuration Setting

  1. Click the Configuration tab.

  2. From the Configurations area, select a configuration setting.

  3. Click the Delete button. The configuration setting is removed from the list.

  4. Click OK.
