I am having trouble with the PDF Converter Version 2.50a that is used with Rapattoni MLS. I have installed this on many peoples machines and it has worked fine, but on one machine whenever we try to print we get an error saying “Printer not activated error code -20†I have tried to reinstall this driver multiple time but each time we get the same error.
The uninstall process I have tried…
Remove using add/remove
Delete printer from printer and faxes folder
Remove driver from server properties
Restart
Install again
Same error
The computer in question is running Windows XP Home SP2 and has all the latest updates except for IE7
I have tried to get in touch with Rapattoni’s support, but haven’t had any luck finding a solution so thought I would try here. I have read through many of the threads relating to errors, but haven’t found a solution that works yet. Any thoughts on what might be causing this and a possible way to fix it would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
Printing error Rapattoni MLS, Converter 2.50a
The system is all web based so it is all through internet explorer. Within the MLS system you generate a report and on the report there are three buttons (Print, save as pdf, email as pdf) When we choose save as pdf it asks us where we want to save it, we choose a location and click save then it thinks for a few seconds and then the error pops up.
Here is a screenshot of the report if that helps...

Thanks for the help.

Hello,
What is happening is that the time between your print request and the actual printing is more than the time allowed by the activation code.
In similar situations the file name should be specified programmatically.
I suggest that you report this issue to your application provider and they will get back to us with more in-depth information on how they are activating the PDF Converter while printing so we an help.
