Hello,
I'm using the PDF convertere for several years now and every thing worked fine till yesterday.
I've installed it as administrator on a pc. The user has no administrive right ( policy of the company). When he tries to create a report in a Visual foxpro program he gets an error. Instead of creating a pdf, a printericon pops up in the tray of windows and the reports gets a status error -printing. a windowsmessage appears "There was an error found printing the document "report.frx" to LPT1: The device is not connected. Do you want to retry or cancel.
What am I doing wrong and how can I fix this.
Thx in advance for the quick answer.
G
Report is not created. the device is not connected
Hello,
Does your application contain the PDFDriverInit () function? This function can be called only by an administration so if it is called by a User it will fail.
Did you install a new version of the PDF Converter or ar you using your same version?
I you installed version 2.10 you need to call EnablePrinter right before printing.
Also please try to open your report in Design mode and to clear Tag and Tag2 fields.
I hope the above would help.

Hello,
i'm using the method driverinit instead of pdfdriverinit so that can not be the problem. I also clean my reports when building my app.
Any other suggestions?
Greetings,
G
