converting from .ftw to .pdf

I am using Family Tree Maker software which I understand comes with the Amyuni PDF converter 2.10. I am having trouble with the 175 page document I created which contains many pictures. When converting the document from .ftw to .pdf the pictures start to shift and move into the text about midway through the document. I am using Adobe Reader 5.1 on Windows XP and was told that it may be a converter problem. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

The issue you are describing is similar to a recent bug we fixed in our latest release.

Please get back to Family Tree Maker so they can include the latest release in their application.

If you want to check that the latest version resolves your specific issue, please feel free to download a demo End User version of the PDF Converter from: http://www.amyuni.com/en/products/pdf_c ... /demo.html
You may install the demo version, reboot your system, print your file to the new printer and check the output.

I installed the demo version of the PDF Converter but was unable to print the file to that printer (Family Tree Maker doesn't give a choice as to which printer can be used-it only says "export to PDF"). I did export my document but only the title page printed. Is there any way I can incorporate the PDF converter into the Family Tree Maker printer?

When installing Family Tree Maker, what is the name of the new pdf printer installed on your system?

Please check this name, install the new printer, and rename it with the same name of the printer used by Family Tree Maker.

Please note that this is only to try if the new version will help in your specific case.
If you want to use the PDF Converter only from Family Tree Maker, you need to contact Family Tree Maker's application provider so they can update the version of the PDF Converter distributed with their application.
If you need to generated pdf files from other applications on your system you can consider licensing a light version of the PDF Converter called "Rapid PDF" that enables you to generated and edit pdf files.
