I am using the demo version in Delphi and have been very happy with it except for one problem. I have some documents I need to use that have pushbuttons on them. I don't need the buttons to be active in the viewer, but I have a problem with the way they load.

The first page of each document has several pushbuttons, two of those are "Show Field Borders" and "Hide Field Borders". When the document loads in Acrobat, the "Show Field Borders" is visible and the "Hide Field Borders" is hidden. More importantly, the fields in the form are hidden and the users cannot enter data into them. The buttons are used to toggle data entry capability.

When the document loads in PDF Creator the buttons are visible but not active. That is not a problem for me, but unfortunately it seems to take the other default where Field Borders are visible and users can enter data. If there is a way to change that default action I have not been able to find it.

Hello,

So you want the pdf file to load and the fields be static and users cannot enter data in them?

After loading the file you can change the fields' properties and set the Editable property to False, so users can't enter data in the fields.

If this didn't help please send your sample pdf file along with some information on what you are trying to do to support@amyuni.com

Have a nice day!

Thanks for the quick reply. When evaluating a product, prompt support is certainly a plus.

Most of these forms will have 50-100 fields, and while looping through them is not that big a deal, what I would really like is for PDF Creator to open the document in the same state that Acrobat would, where they are not accessible by default and I have to enable them if I want that.

I will send you as sample file.
