Hello Amyuni Team,
we have a Developer license for PDF Converter 3.02.
On maybe 50 % of our customers PCs is already an Amyuni PDF Converter 2.09 installed printer with Developer license of another company.
Is it technically possible and per license allowed to use this old 2.09 version of another company with our license code?
If yes, how can i do that?
I hope you understand my bad english. Sorry for that.
Thank you for helping.
Using old Version of partner company
Re: Using old Version of partner company
Hello,
Version 2.09 and version 3.02 are two different versions that can be installed together on the same machine.
These versions will not overwrite each others and can be installed separately knowing that each printer will be given a different printer name at installation time.
Hope this helps.

Hello,
Why do you need to use the PDF Converter version of another company with your activation code?
Activation codes are backward compatible but they are not forward compatible. I.e if you have an actiation code for version 3.02 you can use it with version 2.09.
Hope this helps.

Re: Using old Version of partner company
In this case we don't have to install the pdf printer on every client because our partner company already has done this.Joan wrote:Why do you need to use the PDF Converter version of another company with your activation code?
That's great. How can I use the old DLL-Interface. Are there some manuals or files for download?Joan wrote:Activation codes are backward compatible but they are not forward compatible. I.e if you have an actiation code for version 3.02 you can use it with version 2.09.
Thank you.
Re: Using old Version of partner company
you can use the old dlls the same way you use the new dlls. You just need to check the manual you got for version 3.02. It is only that the new features in 3.02 were not available in 2.09
Hope this helps.

Re: Using old Version of partner company
There is no "EnablePrinter"-Function in the cdintf.dll (version 2.09) I got here.Joan wrote:you can use the old dlls the same way you use the new dlls. You just need to check the manual you got for version 3.02. It is only that the new features in 3.02 were not available in 2.09
So I can't activate the printer with my license code.
