PDF converter 2.51 developer and user versions on same PC

Post by agostick »

Hi,

My clients (McKellar Group) just purchased the upgrades to both the developer and user versions of the software. I ran the developer install and it works from within VFP - that is, I can programatically setup the printer, pass it the activation code etc and it works.

But when I run the "user" install on the same PC, it does it's install but I cannot get the printer activated for use interactively. I insert the licensee name and activation code via the Printer dialog but I still get error code -30 (Printer not activated)

The reason that both of the installs have to happen is that the user's want to have automatic printing of reports when in VFP (i.e. unattended creation of reports) but they also need the interactive version so that they can print to pdf from other applications (e.g. Word and many others).

What do I need to do to set this up so that pdf creation can happen both inside and out of VFP? Do you have any installation notes that would help me with this.

Hello,

Both the End Uand the Developer packates have the same version number?

Please note that if you are still getting error code 30 "Printer not activated" than either you used a wrong activation code or a Developer activation code.

Please make sure to activate the End User printer using the End User activation code, also please make sure to give two different names to the printers.

Hope this helps.
