Error -20, not programmatically

I've got a 5 user license copy of Quickbooks. 4 of the PC's print just fine through the Amyuni PDF Converter. 1 of the PC's gets a -20 error whenever I try to print/email/save pdf's (all 3 use the Amyuni Document Converter driver).

Any suggestions on what has happened to the last PC? I've reinstalled the driver a number of times to no avail.

Error code -20 means the printer is not activated.

On this PC are you trying to print to the PDF Printer from another application than Quickbooks?

No. I was not. You know, I managed to get this working through using your v 2.07. Stroke of luck I say. I just renamed the print driver.

It is not really a stroke of luck i guess, it could be that you have different versions of the Converter installed on your system and for one reason or another the printer driver for the printer that was not working has changed. So by setting the right driver name you are able to print to the printer again.

Just for testing purposes, is there another application that I could test the PDF Converter on? I'd still like to get to the bottom of this and use the newest driver.

Hello,

I didn't really get your question.

The version of the PDF Converter you get with QuickBooks can be used only from inside QuickBooks.

It is illegal to try to use it from other applications like Word or Excel lets say.

If you need to use the PDF Converter from other applications you need to license your own End User license of the product.

By the way, you can try the End User version by downloading an evaluation version from our site.
