Printing... status window

When I print to the PDF printer (v2.50f developer version), a status window appears headed 'Printing', and counts through the pages being printed.

When I print to a normal printer under XP I see no status window.

Is this the PDF printer driver or Windows XP doing this?

Which ever one it is, how can it be disabled?

The status window is not generated by our driver, it is generated by the printing application.

I guess you can't remove it.
