Adobe Acrobat 6.0

Post by KITTA1 »

Hi,

We are using Amyuni PDF Converter 2.0.

Our clients are having problems when acobat 6.0 is installed ( the full version. Not just the reader)

As a test, we uninstalled ADOBE 6.0 and tried to print-preview in PDF, still didn't work. We checked to make sure Amyuni PDF Driver was still installed, and apparently Adobe uninstalled that also! We reinstalled Amyuni PDF Driver with no Adobe on the workstation, same issue. We installed just the PDF Reader, works fine. We reinstalled the full-blown version of Adobe, worked fine. Apparently the issue is that the Amyuni PDF Driver must be installed prior to the Adobe Full Version installation.

Any known issues with adobe acobat 6.0?

Hello,

There is no similar known issues or at least not as far as i know myself.

The PDF Converter is the printer that enables you to convert files to PDF format. It is not a PDF viewer, our PDF Viewer is the PDF Creator.

Are you using the PDF Converter or the PDF Creator yourself?

Acrobat Reader installation should not interfare with our Intallation, these are two different products and I don't see why when unistalling Acrobat Reader our product is uninstalled too.

Hi Joan,

Thanks for the info.

We are using PDF Converter and viewing using Adobe Reader.

Please note that the problem was with Adobe Acrobat 6.0 (not with adobe Reader).

Thanks

Hello,

As mentioned by Joanna, we can assure you that our PDF Converter product does not use any dlls which are shared with Adobe Distiller or Reader and is not dependant on these applications being installed on a users system. I suspect that your issue maybe related to another situation.

We do not have a checklist which you can use to trouble-shoot your situation but I suggest that you look at the FAQ on our website. I have provided a link to this page below:

http://www.amyuni.com/en/support/faq.html

If you do not find any information regarding your issue on the FAQ page, then I suggest that you post additional information regarding the issue you are encountering.

We would need you to elaborate on the exact issue being encountered.

Hope this helps?
