Multiple users unable to print simultaneously on a term srvr

Post by eyost »

Hi all,

I am working with one of our customers who is having difficulty having multiple users print to pdf at the same time. When they attempt to print, it goes through the normal motions of selecting the pdf generator and LPT1 and indicates that a certain page is being printed but at that point it stops and the users are not greeted with the Save as directory window.

Our program has functionality built in that calls upon the Amyuni printer to image documents that are included with the program. It is my understanding that the user can successfully print one user at a time.

Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Which version of the PDF Converter your user is using, the Developer or End User version?

Are you using the locking functions of CDintf?

Thanks and Happy New Year.

Joan,

I checked with my developer and this is the information that he relayed to me.

Hello,

Which version of the PDF Converter your user is using, the Developer or End User version? [Developer] Not sure what they mean... We developed with version we have and redistribute using their install.exe... If that's any help...

Are you using the locking functions of CDintf? [Developer] Not that I'm aware of...

If you are printing in a multithread environment, it is advisable to use the looking mechanism for more information please check the lock () function in “common driver interface 250. pdf”

Hope this helps.

Hello,

This is the developers' manual of th PDF converter. When installing the Converter this file is created in the same folder as the dlls of the driver, this is by default "c:/program files".

Hope this helps.

Hello,

Which version of the PDF converter are you using? Developer on End user? We do not have a problem printing to the PDF printer on a server but depending on which version you are using and how you are printing to it there might be a special process to follow. Please give me more information to be able to help you
