Hi,
I've been asked this question by an IT department that doesn't want to install an earlier version of this PDF driver on their server. They are referring to the older driver not being "version 3" or "level 3" compliant. Apparently this prevents GPF's happening which may bring the server down, in the event of a problem in the driver itself.
Is the latest version of PDF Converter fully compliant in this regard?
Driver Compliance with Microsoft
Hello,
As of version 2.06 of the PDF Converter, the driver has definitely been a "user-mode" driver but prior to version 2.50, the installation procedure placed the DLLs in the "... W32X86\2" directory for backwards compatibility.
With the current version 2.50 of the PDF Converter, it installs its DLLs into the "... W32X86\3" directory.
Hope this helps?
