Attachmate EXTRA! Personal client problems??

Post by aatkinson »

We're looking into deploying PDF Converter on our company network. I've been testing it out with the Professional Trial version and I've run into a snag. We use a telnet client, Attachmate's EXTRA! Personal Client, to log into the corporate mainframe and everytime I try to print from the EXTRA client to the PDF converter EXTRA! crashes.

I never get an error message or code, never get a dialog box to give the PDF file a name, I just click print and it crashes. I can open the client and reconnect without rebooting. It's almost as if the PDF Converter is closing the application.

Anyone have any ideas/workarounds?

Thanks,
Tony

Hi,

Which version of the PDF Converter are you trying?

Are you installing the printer on the server using Install.exe?

How are you printing to the printer?

Sorry for asking too much questions but The PDF Converter works in a Client / Server Environment. I will need more details to be able to check what precisely is going wrong.

Thanks.

Hello,

Right now we are using the PDF Converter Professional trial installed on local machines for testing.

The product has not been installed on our servers.

The EXTRA! telnet client has a screen print feature, this is how we are presently printing to the converter.

Thanks.

Hello,

If you are using a version older than 2.10d, please download the latest demo from our site.

If you are still facing problems with the latest release please contact our Support Dept. support@amyuni.com while specifying if you are printing from the server or from the client machine and what is the error you are getting. They will try to check this issue close.

Thanks.
