[Solved] The device is not ready

Hello,

I've been testing the printer driver (previous versions) for a while, but with version 3.02 any time I try a Print Test Page, or try to print from MS Word or any other product I keep getting the same error message: The device is not ready

I did not install the development version!

Hello,

So you confirm that you have the End User and NOT the Developer version?

In this case please check the following:

1 - That the printer is activated using the appropriate Licensee Name and Activation Code. To check this please right click on the printer and select Preferences. You will see many tabs in the printer preferences: watermaks, security, Export, Advanced PDF...

2 - Please check that you have a FILE: port on your machine. To check this please right click on the PDF Printer or any other printer on your system, select Properties -> Ports and check that there is FILE: port on the machine, if not please create one.

Thank you Joan, it looks like the trial version I had in my computer expired and although I uninstall the previous version, this new version didn't work. I tried on another, clean computer and everything went fine.

Iam using the developer versio and i get a error as "Printer Not activated : Error -20"

Hello,

Error code -20 means: Name of licensee could not be read (License registry entry not found)

I suggest that you reinstall the printer again using our setup.exe to make sure that you have the needed keys created in the registry. Then please reboot your system before trying again.
