Could not find XObject named 'Im9'.

Post by Pete Ocasio »

I have been trying unsuccesfully to resolve or find a (1) reason for this error and (2) resolve it. While there have been 5 or 6 postings in the issue, the only suggestion is to upgrade to the latest version of the converter. I am in version 3.0 thus no higher version exist to upgrade two. This problem has been ongoing for several version. Does any of the members of this forum knows how to resolve it? Thanks for your assistance.

Unfortunately, I decided not to renew the update/upgrade agreement. I experienced numerous issues that instance after instance, like this one, were resolved in an earlier version just to find out that they were not. What can i do to get this upgrade? SInce I have and was licenced for to receive 3.0 there should certainly be something that you can do. This message have elicit a lot of questions on the reliability of the file created by my customers.

Listed below were the replies given to users having the very same issue that I am having. These replies go as far back as the year 2003. It comes down to the converters inability in some machines to resolve the placement of a bmp in the right place within a pdf. You are asking me to pay for something that in your own words was resolved years ago. In my opinion, this is wrong specially since judging by these postings and my own personal experience it was not. I can say that by the most part your converter is a good product but there is some issues that undermine my trust in it as a long term solution for me and my clients. By the way, I do have and installed at one time or another the versions that the other postings refer to as well as those that you reccomended. I most tell you that the issue was not resolved by the versions you and Jose reccomended.

The situation you are describing seems to have been resolved in our current 2.50 version of the PDF Converter. I suggest that you download and eval version of this product and verify the results.

This issue is very similar to an issue that was resolved on the latest release of the PDF Converter. I suggest you send an email to support@amyuni.com requesting an update.

Hello,

This error occured in version 2.5 and was resolved than it occured in 3.0 and it was resolved in 3.02.

I suggest that you send a sample pdf file that shows this error to support@amyuni.com, our technical support team will check your file.

If they confirm that the update to version 3.02 will resolve this issue you will receive the update free of charge.

Please note that we are making an exception here. Usually all technical support requests and updates should be covered by a maintenance plan.

Best Regards,

Joanna

Joan,

As a programmer and database administrator, I understand the cost of producing and maintaining an application. I also agree that this cost should be passed to the user. I do not expect to get support for free but expect that problems that have been listed as resolved are indeed resolved if I paid for a maintenance agreement. I had the maintenance agreement at the time of downloading version 3.0 and thus expected that the issue was resolved. Unfortunately, this was not the case for this issue. I sent two test files and a screen shot of the converted version installed in my system to support@amyuni.com.

Thanks for your assistance.
