Excel greek letters PDF converter 2.08

Hello,

Our Company own PDF converter 2.08,
But each time we generate a PDF from an EXCEL file wich contains
greek letters such as alpha, Beta, omega, they are replaced by dots or other signs in the PDF document.
This only happens on Excel not Word.
Is there a solution?

Hello,

Are you setting multilanguage support on when generating the pdf file?

There shouldn't be any difference when printing the same text from Excel or Word.

However, if you were not able to resolve this issue, and as version 2.08 is very old i suggest that you try our latest version available online.

I found the issue.
In Office 2000
It's just because from Word you add alpha or beta letter from any font but in excel you need to use the Sylmbol font that is not understood by PDF converter. I advised user to use the ALT+ascii code to quickly add greek letters from excel.

Hello,

Thanks for posting this workaround. I am sure it will help customers using version 2.08 and facing this same problem.

As a note, in our latest versions there are no issues related to symbol fonts. Symbol fonts can be converted properly from Excel using Multilanguage support.
