We have a document that contains an embedded Visio picture. When we convert this by printing from a workstation with Office 2003, the fonts in the embedded picture come out as black squares.
When we print from Word 2000 or 2002, the PDF results are fine.
I've tested this on a number of systems, including brand new installs of Office 2002 and 2003, and the results are highly repeatable.
I've tried running the all combinations of the font embedding options that I could think of. I've also tried with and without PS emulation enabled.
Any suggestions on why this would fail for Word 2003 and not other versions of Word?
Thanks much,
- K

Thanks for your quick reply. I went ahead and downloaded the trial of the converter print driver and worked with those settings. Turning on PS emulation did indeed fix the problem with Word 2003.
Thanks!
Are there any potential downsides of always enabling PS emulation?
