NTFS rights of PDF documents

We are using PDF Converter Version 2.10i-7 as part of another application to create PDF files. What I find is that the PDF files created will not get the NTFS permissions inherited from the folder in which they are created, but rather get assigned explict rights of SYSTEM, Administrators and the user that created it set to FULL CONTROL.

We have a need for the PDFs to just inherit the rights of the folder they are in. Is that possible and where does the problem lie?

Hello Shawn,

Are you referring to Encrypted pdf file or normal (un-encrypted) pdf files?

Normal PDF files.

Hello Shawn,

This issue is because it is the printer spooler that writes the file and not the application. A possible fix would be to have the print spooler run under the specific user account.
