The problem does not occur with simple worksheets in Excel. It also does not occur with somewhat more complex worksheets that use functions both from a 3rd party addin (QMatix XLQ), and user-defined functions (my own, coded in VBA).
At an unknown point of complexity (my best guess as to the cause), OfficeReady still passes some info (amount unknown) to Amyuni PDF Converter 2.09, but that driver does not appear to initiate printing (no Printing popup gets displayed). Sometimes OfficeReady even crashes Excel2003 (though only on a particular worksheet, that appears less complex than the one that simply won't save as a PDF).
The versions of OfficeReady I've tried are: 1. Essentials 3.1E(pson), 2. PDF-Edition 3.0. I have reported some of this in the TemplateZone support forum .
I have recently moved from a computer running WinXP Pro, to one with WinXP Media Center. However, that does not appear to be a factor. In going back through my journal/log for the old computer, it appears that it had been quite some time since I had tried to use OfficeReady (and thus Amyuni PDF Converter 2.09).
What I had actually been using was Scansoft PDF Create! 2.0, which came bundled with Paperport 10. As a workaround, I've installed just the PDF Create! 2.0 on my new computer, and there are no problems.
This is basically FYI. For now, I intend to abandon my efforts to find out what sort of miscommunication is occuring between OfficeReady and Amyuni PDF Converter 2.09. The worksheets involved are filled with personal investment data, which I don't wish to share. Good luck, should you choose to investigate!
