Will PDF converter 2.50d developer version work OK under Vista or are we forced to upgrade to V3.0?

Vista...
The reason I ask whether Converter 2.50 will run under Vista is a comment on your web site, I quote...
"Coming in V3.0!'Support for the new Microsoft Vista operating system".
Is this just marketing hype or is V3 actually required as a minimum for Vista support.

Support for MS Vista started with version 2.50g
You have a good point here.
Version 2.50g of PDF Converter already supports MS Vista assuming you have the multi-platform version of the product. The sentence on our website should be rephrased to clarify that there are new features specific to MS Vista. Version 3 will also be certified for MS Vista the same way 2.5 is certified for XP.
Thank you for noting that.

Could you please define "Supports MS Vista"?
Greetings,
I am unclear what you mean regarding Vista and the 2.5b version of the PDF Converter.
The PDF Converter is a Kernel Mode Driver.
*On Vista, a 32-bit user can accept a driver that is not Certified for Vista after dismissing a security warning.
*A 64bit Vista user cannot install an un-Certified driver at all, the OS will deliver an error message that the driver is not supported.
*A 32-bit user running a driver that has not passed Vista Certification will be unable to play Premium (DRM) or HD Content on their computer.
If we distribute the 2.5b version of the PDF Converter, has this code been "Certified for Vista", and passed WHQL certifcation for Vista? If not, does this mean the 2.5b version will only work on 32-bit version of Vista, if the user overrides the security warning, and it will nullify the users ability to play premium content?
thanks

Hello,
We have two versions of the PDF Converter one for 32bits and one for 64 bits.
Starting from PDF Converter 2.07 (around year 2002), the printer drivers are not Kernel Mode, they are User Mode drivers. The Kernel Mode driver is only for Windows NT 4.
The current version 2.51 of the PDF Converter installs and work on Windows Vista 32-bits but it doesn't have the Vist logo, it hasn't passed yet the Vista tests.
By the way the HCT tests are only for XP, there is a new set of tests for Vista and a new test application.
