I have a Windows 2000 Server where I have two different versions of PDF Converter installed. Quickbooks Enterprise Version 6 is installed which uses version 2.50d-4. We have our own application installed which uses version 2.10i-7. Both of these driver have stopped functioning. They both do exactly the same thing. The problem is that the FileName is not getting set properly. If you pause the Amyuni Printer and look at the print queue, there is a print job there but the file name appears to be spaces rather than the file name used. Since the file name is blank the driver obviously can not write to the file and the operation fails. It appears that all other commands such as setting the paper size, dpi, orientation and enabling the printer are all working. I have uninstalled and reinstalled these drivers numerous times with no change. Also have removed all printers from the server and deleted the spool directory and then reinstalled them again with no change. The only thing that we know that occurred from the time it worked to the time it didn't was Adobe Acrobat 6.0 was installed. It was uninstalled again but the problem still remains. There are no other known problems on this server so I am at a loss on what to try next. Quickbooks Tech Support has never seen this problem and have no more ideas either.
Is there a Windows DLL that would specifically be used during the setting of the file name?
PDF Converter stopped working on Win 2000 Server.
Hello,
Installing and reinstalling the driver may have mixed up some files.
I suggest that you completely unistall all the drivers by following the process below:
1 - Run the command "install -u" from the directory where you have the driver currently installed. This should remove the Amyuni PDF Printer from the printers folder.
2 - Search and remove all instances of the files below:
acfpdf.dll
cdintf.dll
acfpdf.drv
acfpdfu.dll (possibly not installed)
acfpdfui.dll (possibly not installed)
acfpdf.txt
pdfmon.dll (possibly not installed)
acpdfui*.dll
acpdfu*.dll(possibly not installed)
acpdf*.dll
3 - Open the registry by running Regedit and the delete the printer name key under Hkey_Current_Config --> Software --> (Printer Name).
4 - Reboot your system
5 - Verify that the Amyuni PDF Converter driver is no longer in the printers folder
After you have finished the above steps, please install first your PDF Converter and try to use it from inside your application and then use Quickbooks.
Hope this helps.

Hi Dennis,
The Amyuni PDF Converter and Adobe’s distiller product do not use any common DLLs are and completely independent of each other.
The value found in the print queue is actually the document name and not the file name.
In order to trouble shoot this issue further please follow the steps below:
1- In windows\system32 you will find a dll called cdintf210.dll. register this dll by executing regsvr32.
2- next verify if you are able to successfully print from your application.
3- now verify if you are able to print from QuickBooks? I expect that you will not be.
4- In windows\system32 you will find a dll called cdintf250.dll. register this dll by executing regsvr32.
5- now verify if you are able to print from QuickBooks?
6- next verify if you are able to print from your application.
Please post the results of your tests?

I registered cdintf210.dll successfully, but still cannot print from our application. Then I registered cdintf250.dll successfully and still could not print from Quickbooks either. These two different drivers co-existed on this machine prior to the start of this problem and both worked fine.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello,
Can you send a screen shot of the print queue you mentioned in your original post to support@amyuni.com?
Thanks

Hello Dennis,
Thanks for the screen shot.
Can you install a single user evaluation version of the PDF Converter on this problematic system? You can download it from the link below:
http://www.amyuni.com/en/products/pdf_c ... /demo.html
This will allow you to print from any installed application and select the resulting PDF documents filename and directory location. This will let us know if you can successfully print from outside your application.
Let us know if you are successful?
