Compatible PDF driver for Windows 2000 server

Post by esteban2800 »

Where can I get a compatible driver for Windows 2000 for version 1.58 or 1.59? It's seems that the 1.59 version installs a driver called Amyuni PDF Converter 1.59 which "does not work". The old version 1.58 installs a driver call "PDF Compatible Driver 1.58" -- works fine on our servers.

Compatible PDF driver for Windows 2000 server

I wish I could use a new version because it's giving me a headache. The software belongs to a company that coded our applications. I have stated several times that we need an upgrade but it's one of those sayings "Well, it works fine in our development environment". Anyway, the asp page is trying to make a call through a DLL and it gives a fatal error:

Web*****.*** '8000ffff'

There is no default printer currently selected

/****/*******, line 57

Line 57 is trying to make a call to the PDF printer but it doesn't seem to find the PDF Compatible Converter because it is named AmyUni PDF Converter. I am not positive but I'll double check. Is it possible to tweak the windows registry to look for this printer and set it to default?

I got it to work half ways, it was an IIS security issue.

Now I am getting "error printing" directly to the printer. Any ideas?

Hello,

When using the PDF Converter from a third party application we recommand that you get back to your application provider to resolve any issue related to the generation of PDF files form inside your application.

Please note that the version of the PDF Converter you have in your application is a special version that can be used only from inside that application, it can't be used directly by you neither programmatically nor directly from Windows applications.

If you wish to generate PDF files from your other applications than your software or if you wish to use a newer version of the PDF Converter please consider licensing your own End User version of the Converter.

Hope this helps.
