SendMail modal in vb

I use SendMail in a vb6 app. Problem I have is that control does not return to the vb application until the email message is sent. Is there a way around this?

Hello,

Using vb6 I am not if another method could be used. However with vb.net I would suggest starting the sendmail in another thread.

I am using VB6 not vb.net so this is not an option. Any other ideas?
