No this is not a known issue.
Personally I didn't try to use Adobe Approval but we didn't get reports about problems using our driver on a system where Adobe is installed.
Please try to use our new version 2.08c of the driver, will you still get the same problem? You can download the new version from our site

Also please check if the background printing of Word is turned on or off, this may have some effects on the printing process.
