Unknown Error Dialog - Error calling PrintDlg: 4099

Post by benhogan »

Hi,

I am getting this dialog (intermittently) when I uninstall the printer and then I reinstall the printer directly afterwards.
I previously had version 2.10h installed but i have now upgraded to 2.50a. Have you seen this dialog before and do you know how i can prevent this from happening?

Below is the dialog which appears during the printer installation:

Hello,

This sounds like a Windows error.

Please tell us what OS you are using also please tell us when precisely you are getting this error message.

Thanks.

Hi Joan,

Operating system is Windows XP Professional.

I am told it is when I am installing the printer (install.exe with command line switches) however I cannot be certain as it hasn't happened to me.

Have you never come across this before?

Hello,

If this error is logged in the log file generated by our installer, then please send us the log to check it.

If this is a Window error, please try to check that all applications are closed while running Install.exe, also try to run Install -p.

I see this more as a Windows error and not an error generated by our driver. I didn't get this error before.

If you are still getting this error you need to send us more information to support@amyuni.com so we can check it.

Hi Joan,

Thanks for the follow up.

I now know that this is not an AMYUNI error. When this error appeared I got the support staff to check the task manager to see if Install.exe was running which is wasn't.

Thanks Again.
