COnverter 2.09 problems on ONE machine ONLY

THe vendor for my software Alpha5 V6 supplies the PDF driver and they have been stumped with this problem that is ocurring only one on computer - running WIndows XP Pro. I have installed their software on other machines with XP pro with no difficulty. Perhaps you can point me in the right direction. WHen I issue the command from within the app to create the pdf the following happens:

I get a message that the document is rendering
That message completes and the Adoble software should start up - it does not.

What happens is that a .tmp file is created along with an .mpx file in my desingated temp directory The .mpx file appears to hold the appropriate data. The .tmp file is in use until I kill the Alpha5 application. No PDF file is ever written. ANy help or insight would be most appreciated. As I noted, I have installed their software on ohter machines so it must be a very unique situation on this one computer.

What is the difference between the XP machine on which the application is running the one on which the application is not running?

- Are you logging to both machines as Adminstrator?
- Is the folder where the pdf file is supposed to be created available on both machines?
- Do both machines have the same service packs installed?

Please try to restart your system and run the application again.

In most cases the machines are alike. WHat is different however are things like printer models and the like. They are both the same in terms of system software installed. In both cases the administrator is logged on. Where is the "official"place PDF files are supposed to be printed? I am assuming it is the temp directory set up by the system. THanks.

The pdf file is generated in the directory specified by the application, in your case Alpha5.

The folder where the pdf file is supposed to be generated should exist on the system otherwise it will not be created by the driver.
