Demo install produces "printer not activated" Erro

Post by sbovino »

I have read the posts and can say that I have definitely installed the pro version, not the developers version. I was having problems with version 2.09 and decided to try the updated version. I understand that there is no activation codes necessary to get the demo to work. I would appreciate any help in getting this to fly. I have tried some other PDF produces and they have worked fine. I am running Windows XP pro SPI. I have the exact software (2.09) on another machine and it works just fine. On the working machine I am able to open notepad for example and print a file that is converted to a PDF file. When I do the same on the system that is not working under 2.09 I get an empty file. I have opened it and it is empty with a zero file count. When I try the 2.5 update I get the activation error. I am assuming I have a problem somewhere in my Windows installation and would love some insight to get this fixed. Thanks,
Steve

Hello Steve,

I suggest that you contact support@amyuni.com so our Support Team can check more closely how you are installing the printer and what is really going on.

I would say that rebooting your system should resolve the empty pdf file. Printing to 2.09 or 2.50 shouldn't generate an empty pdf file, a 0 bytes pdf document could be generated however and the right size of the document will display after refreshing the folder in wich the document exists. But ever a 0 bytes document will not be empty when opening it.

Concerning 2.50, the activation error means that either the printer is not activated, or it is activated using a wrong activation code.

As this is not the case as you are saying, our Technical Support Team can follow up with you to check what is really the problem and you can then post the resolution to this forum.

Thanks.
