Converting Word Docs and resulting filename

Greetings, I'm just getting started with PDF Converter (in evaluation) and when I convert a MS Word doc, the resulting PDF file name is something like "Microsoft Word - MyFileName.pdf".

How do I convert a word file to use it's original base name without the "Microsoft Word - " prefixed on it?

Hello,

While using the PDF Converter you can choose between specifying the output file name yourself or let the file name be the default name specified by the application.

If you Open Microsoft Word and try to save a file to disk, you will see that the default name given by the application contains the prefix 'Microsoft Word -', It is not something related to the PDF Converter.

From another side, you can specify the output file name from inside your application and set it to any name you want. For more details please check our technical notes in the support page.

Thanks for the reply. I understand. I guess batch conversions are out of the question for Word Docs if that prefix is a problem.

Maybe you wont be able to use the BatchConvert function, but you can write a function similar to BatchConvert, it should mainly print the Word documents you have to the PDF Printer, you can then specify the ouptut file name of the pdf files as you wish.

You may also print all the Word documents to one pdf file.
