Color Documents Converting to Black and White

I have been using the PDF Converter printer for sometime and now it is printing color documents in black and white.

Windows XP


Any Ideas?

For one reason or another the 'Convert colors to Black and White' could be selected in your Printer Properties.

You can go to the registry under HKEY_Current_Config --> Software --> You PDF Printer --> Options and set the Options to 0.

Close the application you are printing from than open it again and try printing.

The value stored for options was 3 so I updated it to 0. It is reset to 3 everytime I run my application as I am using filenameoptions = 1 + 2 which sets the value back to 3 as I would expect.

My next question is: I have read references to "print to grayscale" option getting set but I am not able to find the setting in my configuration. Can you give me some insight on where this setting can be found?

Any other suggestions for fixing the issue?

Colors2Grayscale is set by adding 80000 Hex or 524288 Decimal value to your call of FileNameOptions.

Infomration about this is available under the FileNameOptions documentation in the Developers' manual "Common Driver Interface 210.pdf"

I am having trouble getting the converter to print in color and I am not setting any filenameoptions other than 1 and 2. There is no reference to setting colorstograyscale anywhere in my code.

What else could be causing my converter to print to grayscale?

I have two suggestions for you:

1 - You can try our latest release version 2.10i-6 either in release or demo version, you can download this version from our site www.amyuni.com and check if you will get better results with the new version.

2 - I the new version didn't help i suggest that you contact our Technical Support Department support@amyuni.com
