Error 1930 installing 1.59 on w2k3

I get error code 1930 when installing on a w2k3 WTS. This is supposed to be fixed by changing the "Disallow installation of kernel mode printer drivers" in the local policy editor.

My problem is that that option ("disallow...") isn't there, so I just cant enable the installation of the kernel mode printer driver.

I know 1.59 is an old one, but we never has had any problems with it before.

Any ideas?

Hello,

I am not sure why you are not seeing the "Disallow..." option, are you logging to the server as Administrator?

Please note that under Windows Terminal Server you need to install printers and applications from the Add / Remove programs.

Version 1.59 is a kernel-mode printer, but our new versions starting 2.08 can be installed as User-mode printers, so I would advise you to user our latest release 2.10i under Terminal Server.

During the time we have change Terminal Server and on this new machine I could configure the setting in the GPO for kernel mode printer drivers. I couldn't do that on the old server.....
