Error Reading Linearized Hint Data

Post by EdisonsAttic »

I have an app that creates a number of different PDF-based reports using the AmyUni driver. Most of those reports print fine, but one of them is producing the error listed above ("Error Reading Linearized Hint Data").

I can upload the actual FILE which causes this error, but I have no idea what needs to change in order to resolve it. Where do I need to look?

Hello,

Did you try to create this same pdf file in the same conditions uing the latest version 2.10i-6 of the driver?

You may download an evaluation version of the latest release to try it at: http://www.amyuni.com/en/products/pdf_c ... /demo.html

I am using the 2.1 download (haven't downloaded any other version of the product). I can give you the DLL versions of the files I'm using, and I can tell you that I only get this error if I have the setting "LinearizeForWeb" (&H8000) turned on (using FileNameOptionsEx property).

Hello,

Version 2.10 has been released one year ago. We have different version 2.10, our latest one is 2.10i-6.

When did you download your version of the driver?

If you are still under warranty or if you have a maintenance plan please feel free to download our latest release from: http://www.amyuni.com/en/support/updates.html

If not, you may download our latest demo version from http://www.amyuni.com/en/products/pdf_c ... /demo.html and try it from inside your application to check the output.

Please reboot your system after installing the new version.

Thanks.

I downloaded it on June 28th. How can I tell if I have the most recent version...can I look at the version data on the DLL files?

Hello,

Right click on any dll you received with the driver and check Properties --> Versions please read the "product version" in the list it should be 2.10i-6

If you are facing this issue with the latest version than you may want to submit a request to our Technical Support Department Support@amyuni.com

Thanks.
