Pdf attachments fail to open through SquirrelMail

At times, we'll recieve E-mail with pdf attachments created with Amyuni PDF/RTF Converter. We use SquirrelMail which is a standards based webmail package.

Unfortunately when downloading these attachments via SquirrelMail, we'll get a
'There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired'
message when using Adobe Reader.

However, if the same E-mail message was opened with Microsoft Outlook, that same attachment would open fine. File Properties list PDF Version 1.0 (Acrobat4.x)

Could the problem be confined to using SquirrelMail or do we need to use a different pdf Viewer when opening Amyuni files? How the pdf files are created are out of our control since they originate from a client; however if the problem originates from their end, we'll let them know.

It seems SquirrelMail is corrupting some of the pdf files

I am not sure which version of the PDF/RTF Converter your customer is using.

If your client is using version 2.0x of the driver, please let them download the latest demo version from our site and try to use it to generated a pdf file and send it to you by e-mail to see if this will still get corrupted.

If your customer is using version 2.1, than maybe you are facing a similar problem than the one with Sophos AntiVirus http://www.amyuni.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=255.

I would advise you that you try the latest version of the PDF Converter and the latest version of SquirrelMail.
