I have been unsuccessful in creating a "save as PDF" file when using Printshop Pro 20. Converter 2.1d does NOT indicate any errors, in fact, it seems to be working correctly. However, NO file is generated. I have made very sure that the file is not misfiled by doing a search for the unique file name. Still no satisfaction.
I have communicated with Broderbund but they have been no help. As your comany name is used liberally in their credits, I was hoping that you have some insight into this problem. I am using Windows XP, Pentium 4, 1 gig memory, and huge amounts of available disk space.
I have tried to create a PDF from within Printshop Pro Publisher 20 using their sample newsletter, no luck. I have not tried using Word, or another software product.
Amyuni responded to a direct email saying they could not help because of aniticipated vendor changes (by Broderbund) to the software.
Yes, in fact our policy is to provide support for our direct customers only because when we get a request from a customer using our product thought a third party application we can never know how our products were implemented in this application.
So we ask the users of third party applications to get back to their application provider who in turn will get back to us if needed, in this way our help can be more effective because we can have all the information needed to pinpoint the issue and solve it.
If you are printing the newsletter from inside Borderbund application (by using a button or so provided by the application) please get back to them and they will contact us if needed.
I too have a similar problem. I am using Family Tree Maker V11 from Genealogy.com and the Export to PDF file function does not produce a PDF file. The product has the Amyuni PDF Converter V2.10b which is licensed to Genealogy.com. Genealogy.com are unable to resolve the problem.

Unfotunately, i can not know why a pdf file is not produced if I don't have information on how the PDF Converter is used from inside Genealogy.com's product. Please let Genealogy.com contact us with more information about the issue you are facing so we can help.
If you are not getting any error but just no pdf file is generated, please check that the pdf file will be saved in a folder that already exists on your system.

I have downloaded your PDF converter from your web site. When I try to convert a word document to a PDF file using the AMyni PDF converter no file is produced on my PC. This is the same problem I was having with the Family Tree maker program.

Which version of the PDF Converter did you download from our site? The developer or End User version?
To be able to generate a pdf file directly from Word you need the End User version.
After downloading the demo please activate it using the LicenseTo and Activation code you got from the demo page.
Finally, when printing to the PDF Printer from Word you will get the save as dialog box that enables you to choose the location and name of the pdf file that will be generated, are you reaching this dialog box?
Please provide some more information on how you are using the demo version you downloaded so we can help you.
Sorry i forgot to mention that our new demos are activated automatically when installed this is why no activation code is provided.
It is only if you are trying the Developer demo that you will receive an activation code when installing the demo, this activation code should be used later on in your application.
As you are using the End User demo, it is enough to install the Printer driver using the exe file you downloaded and the printer is ready to be used on your system.
I have created a new word document and printed using the PDF printer. However I do not get the save as dialogue box. In fact nothing happens after i hit the print button.

One other point i forgot to mention. When i look at the PDF printer's configuration and hit the button to the right of the licensed to Anyuni i get a new window asking for licensed to and activation code information. There is no data in these boxes.

Please right click on the new printer and select Preferences. You should see some tabs like 'Destination', 'watermarks', 'Advanced', ect...
Click on the Destination tab and select 'Prompt for a file name'.
It is normal to have empty Activation code and license boxes, these are used if you want to license the End User version, so we will send you a licensed activation code to activate the printer.
Please note that if you want to use the PDF Converter only from Family Tree Maker and you don't want to license you own version of the PDF Converter, you still need to contact Genealogy.com because only they can update the version of the driver availabe in their product.

I assume you mean me to open the printer via the control panel. When i right click the printer and select printing preferences i get a window with only one tap namely configuration - nothing else.
I am now getting another problem. When i click my word document and select the your printer i get the message "windows cannot print due to a problem with the printer setup".
There was a slight problem with my PDF printer. Now solved with a reinstallation. I have clicked on the destination tab and selected "prompt for file name". I can see that it is sending something to the PDF printer but there is no file where it should be. I have a folder called My recent documents. In this folder i see there is a short cut to the file i have just created. However when i try to open it i get the message "missing short cut". After a while a new message appears " the item [file name] that this short cut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly"
