I am trying to merge two pdf documents into one. Both of the originals have bookmarks. During the merge these are all brought in. I would like to basically drop them all down one level & add a top level bookmark for each of the two documents.
Example:
Document 1:
-Coversheet
-Appendixes
--Appendix 1
--Appendix 2
Document 2:
-Coversheet
I would like the final pdf to be
-Document 1
--Coversheet
----Appendixes
------Appendix 1
------Appendix 2
-Document 2
--Coversheet
The problem is that I don't know where all the original bookmarks are. Is there a way to check a pdf for bookmark information? I could then save this, clear all bookmarks, and set bookmarks with the new root level. OR is there a way to just insert a root level into already existing bookmarks? OR, is there another solution to this that I am missing?
