- Unplug the device, go to Settings -> Developer Options -> Enable USB Debugging and plug the device back in. Some devices need the USB Debugging option in order to be properly detected by the Windows drivers.
- Make sure you let the application on the device open automatically. There is no need to launch the application, it should popup automatically when the device is connected to the PC. Unplug the device, wait for the app screen to disappear and plug the device again.
- Open the Windows Device Manager. To do so, open the Start menu and search for "Device Manager". Open Universal Serial Bus Controllers and check that you have a device named USB Mobile Monitor Device:
- If you don't see the USB Mobile Monitor device but your phone's regular device listed there, follow this procedure:
- Right-click on the device, select "Update Driver", then "Browse my computer
- From the next screen, select "Let me pick from a list of available drivers"
- On the next screen choose "USB Mobile Monitor Device":
and finish the operation. You can quickly get back to your normal phone operation by selecting Update Driver again, and choosing your phone's device driver from the list.
- Right-click on the device, select "Update Driver", then "Browse my computer
