We have a VB6 application which starts by installing the Amyuni pdf driver and we have had a couple of users systems on Win64 where this installation took a very long time, 60sec+, and gave three file copy errors. Subsequently our software interrogation of other printers (not the pdf converter) returned wrong printer properties and eventually crashed with error 482. Strangely pdf conversion worked OK in some parts of our software.
This happened on V4.0 and the same after we upgraded to V4.5.
We eventually discovered that both users had the file winspool.drv in our application folder (we have no idea how this got there).
When we deleted winspool.drv everything worked like a dream.
I hope this information helps others and saves them from having to bang their heads against the wall for several days like we did!
