Watermark does not look so good

Post by aroncox »

Amyuni PDF Converter 4.0.1.2
Windows 7 32 and 64

We had a problem with watermarks in Word printing as blocks rather than the text, and fixed this by adding SimPostscript=TRUE, and things are now much better. The watermark text is readable and behind the main text. However it is much uglier than the original in the Word document as it has diagonal black cross-hatch lines it in. So I now have a few questions:

1. Is there anything I can do to get rid of the cross-hatch lines in the converted watermark?
2. Is there any downside I should know about to having SimPostscript=TRUE on all the time?
3. I don't really understand why I need to set any options, I would've thought when I ask to convert a document to PDF it would just do it as accurately as possible without me needing to do anything else (for example I've also had to set margins to 0). Are there any other options I need in order to increase the accuracy of conversion?

Thanks,

This was addressed in version 4.5 and considerable amount of development time went into SimPostscript=TRUE.
