Hi,
I'm evaluating PDF Convertor and I'm running into the following problem:
I'm using the Active X-version of the component, calling it from a C# .NET assembly.
Now when I'm running with Admin Privileges (btw, I'm running Vista) everything is fine. However, running without admin privileges, I get a nice blue screen, telling me that my 30-day evaluation license has expired. This cannot be the case, as I downloaded the PDF Convertor about 3 weeks ago...
In an application to be distributed, I would like to function the PDF Convertor without need for admin privileges.
So, I'm wondering, whether this behaviour has to do with:
- Vista (malfunctioning UAC, because there's no UAC-popup?)
- The Developer license (maybe there's a check for the 30-day period in the registry wich needs Admin credentials?)
- Or another problem?
To complete the info: I get this message on my developers machine, where the PDF Convertor is installed. In the application, it is activated using DriverInit, followed by a call to EnablePrinter, wich in turn direct causes the message...
Regards,
Marco
