Hi
I have seen several posts for this issue, but not the answer I am looking for.
We have a license for the pdf converter and have version 2.06 in our product. During our tests, we ran into this issue on one computer while there is no problem on another computer (with same version of our application with amyuni 2.06).
Computer without problem
* Windows XP with SP1
Computer with problem
* Windows XP with SP2
* There is also Adobe Pro 6 installed.
* There was also 1-step RoboPDF from eHelp/Macromedia installed,which also uses amyuni. But the problem stayed even after un-installing this.
We have solved this issue by implemented version Amyuni 2.50 in the latest version of our application.
However, I am interested to learn if there is any known reason for this to happen on some installation. As well as if there is a workaround to solve this without having us to provide a real update to customers experiencing this behaviour.
(Note: something similar happened with 2.06 on / Win2003 server. The workaround here is to 'turn on the use of NT printer drivers by opening a group policy for that computer', but this workaround does not work on the XP SP2 machine mentioned above.

Hello,
"Printer not activated" is a message that is generated by version 2.10 and 2.50 if the printer is not activated properly before printing to it.
This is different from the issue under Windows 2003 you are mentioning. (Unless I misunderstood the error you are getting...).
The error you are getting could be related to the version of the PDF Converter installed with RoboPDF (I am not sure which version is installed by RoboPDF).
If you wish to know why you got this error and whether or not there is a workaround you need to contact support@amyuni.com to investigate this issue furthermore.

Thank you Joan,
I'll contact support for further assistance. Thank you.
I actually get it with 2.06.Joan wrote:"Printer not activated" is a message that is generated by version 2.10 and 2.50 if the printer is not activated properly before printing to it.
That is what I expected, but eliminated this by uninstalling RoboPDF, uninstalling the drivers we use and then reinstall our drivers (2.06).Joan wrote: The error you are getting could be related to the version of the PDF Converter installed with RoboPDF (I am not sure which version is installed by RoboPDF).

Solution
Received the following solution from support and it works:
Completely uninstall all versions of the PDF Converter on your system. This can be done by following the steps below:
1 - Run the command "install –u PrinterName" from the directory where you have the PDF Converter product installation files stored. The “PrinterName†is the printer name that appears in the printer folders.
2 - Reboot your system (important step)
3- After rebooting go back the printer’s folder and select File => Server Properties => Drivers. Select and delete all of the Amyuni PDF Converter drivers.
4- re-install the PDF Converter from your application directory.
