Using a 5.0 license code on a 4.x printer driver..?

Hello,

Years ago I was told that “An activation code will work on a lower version but not on a higher one.”
So far it has proven to work flawlessly, at least with activation codes until 4.5x codes and drivers v3.x/4.x...
Is it still true for the newer 5.0 activation codes?
Are they supposed to be able to activate older drivers and, if so, is there a minimum version for the driver to work with them?

Hello,

Yes version v5.0 license codes are backwards compatible with other versions. I believe that you can go as far back as version 2.10
