Hello,
I'm using the PDF converter 3.03, and try to create encrypted files. As far as i can see, i do everythign be the book (the CDINTF.DLL manual, this forum, you name it), but the files created are invalid and cannot be opened. The reasons seems to be that the password hashes at the beginning of the documents are simply empty, together with the permissions parameter. Here is the beginning of the file:
%PDF-1.4
%ÿÿÿÿ
4 0 obj
<<
/Filter /Standard
/V 2
/R 3
/Length 128
/P 0
/O <0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000>
/U <0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000>
>>
endobj
1 0 obj
<<
/Title
/Producer
/CreationDate
/ID [<68AE06F2208DBB4AAFC7DE8FC27CFDF5><68AE06F2208DBB4AAFC7DE8FC27CFDF5>]

Any idea on that?
Thx in advance

Encryption creates invalid files
Re: Encryption creates invalid files
Hello Axel,
Please check the following:
1- That you are using the latest version 3.03e of the PDF Converter. We had an issue with the encryption in earlier versions 3.03 that was solved in the latest version 3.03e.
2 - That you are specifying a user password and an owner password.
Hope this helps.
