Signing with a seperate certificate

Dear

I know that the digital certificate for signing is required to be installed in "Personal" store of the user machine in WinXP. May I know if there is any method to access the certificate without the installation?

The reason I would like to do this is because we only want user to sign the document with our application, but not signing it personally.

Hello,

If you are using the Developer version of the PDF Converter in your application, users will be able to create PDF files only from inside your application and consequently, they will be able to sign these pdf files only from inside your application using the signature name you specify in your code.

Thanks for your reply. However, our application is a client application. So we need to install the certificate in the client PC (in the Personal store). And this expose to the risk that the user may use the installed store to sign other PDF document with different tool.

So I would like to know if it is a must to install the digital certificate to the personal store for digital signing?

Hello

The Amyuni DigitalSignature method uses only certificates that are stored in the "personal store".
Unfortunately it is not possible to use a certificate that is stored elsewhere.
