Switch to PDF/a and back does not work.

Hello,

I'm trying to create PDF and PDF/A format and in some application am alternating between the format. Interestingly, the driver always needs one print job to do the change, i.e. I switch to PDF/A (IO_OUTPUTPDFA8 set) and have used PDF before (IO_OUTPUTPDFA8 not set), then the file generated will be PDF. The next file generated will in turn be PDF/A (even if IO_OUTPUTPDFA8 was again disabled), so there seems to be a time lag.

My document to convert is a TIFF file, so I use the normal standard print code to print to the converter. Any idea why this happens?

Are you calling SetDefaultConfig() after changing the configuration?

Yes, I call SetDefaultConfig after I set the image options. Sorry, not that easy.

What is the version of the PDF Converter that you are using?
I tested this issue with the latest 3.03 that is available on our website and was not able to re-produce the issue.

Can you completely un-install the version that you have and test with the latest 3.03 version from our website.
