Own Installation

Post by saatmann »

Hello,

I want to build an own installation of the DLL-Interface of the Amyuni PDF Converter.

So I found in Common Driver Interface 300.pdf a list files for each windows version:
Step 1 – Copy all distributable files to the application’s main directory
The application’s main directory is usually where the executable file is located. The list of distributable files is as follows:
Windows 98/Me: acfpdf.drv
Windows NT4: acfpdf.dll, acfpdfnt.dll
Windows 2000/XP/2003 32-bits: acfpdfu.dll, acfpdfui.dll
Windows XP/2003 64-bits, AMD 64 based: acfpdfuamd64.dll, acfpdfuiamd64.dll
Windows XP/2003 64-bits, IA 64 based: acfpdfuia64.dll, acfpdfuiia64.dll
Common to all versions: cdintf.dll, install.exe, acfpdf.txt
When I install the converter on my XP machine, I get only the following files:
atpdf300.cat
acfpdfu.dll
acfpdfuamd64.dll
acfpdfui.dll
acfpdfuiamd64.dll
cdintf.dll
xmllite.dll
acfpdf.drv
Install.exe
Setup.exe
amyuni.inf
Install.ini
install.log
Amyuni PDF Converter.pdf
Common Driver Interface 300.pdf
license.pdf
acfpdf.txt
Versions.txt
1. How do I get the "bold marked" files for distribution, because i have no NT4 etc.?
2. Are there any parameters for commandline for "Setup.Exe? Perhaps for extracting all containing Files DLLs or for a silent installation?

Thank you.

Hello,

The highlited files are not distributed with the exe package. These files are for Windows NT and 64-bits IA, these Operating systems are not widely used at the moment and therefore users who are using these operating systems can download these files from: http://www.amyuni.com/downloads/legacy_drivers.zip

There is not a silent install for Setup.exe but there is a silent install flag for Intall.exe, you can run:
Install -s "Printer Name" -n"Licensee Name" -c "Activation Code" to install the printer silently and activate it.
You can definitley use -s alone and activate the printer later on.

Hope this helps.

Hello Zaksoft,

Currently our products are not distributed as msi online but you can get an msi package by contacting our Technical Support team if needed.

Hope this helps.

I'll send shortly a request to support, but I was referring to MSM not MSI.. it's better to have a module that can be included in our own MSI setup and can user inner logic and key-

Thank you-

Hello David,

When first replying to your request i thought you made a typo between the m and the i (even though they are not very close on the keypboard).

After answer your post i read about msm and i forwarded your request to our project manager. We are going to check the possiblity of distributing our driver in other formats than the current exe setup.

Best Regards,
