[Solved] Leadtools Highlight

Post by ASRoden »

Hi, I am using the Converter to print out our proprietary document format that includes Highlights using the Leadtools libraries. The resulting PDF document has the Highlight rectangles Opaque hiding the underlying text.

Is there anyway around this/ has anyone else seen this?

Thanks.

Hello,

Please enable postscript simulation before printing your documents.

If you are using the End User version of the PDF Converter you can enable postscript simulation from the Advanced tab of the PDF Converter printing preferences.

If you are using the Developer version please check "Common Driver Interface 300.pdf" for more information on how to enable postscript simulation programatically.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply, but the suggestion had no effect on my problem.
If I print to paper the annotations are Translucent but still when converting to PDF they are Opaque...

Are you using the End User version or the Developer version?

If Developer, are you using GDI or GDIPlus?

We ran into similar problems which was caused by our polygons being almost, but not quite closed. They looked closed to the eye, but weren't. Amyuni is more stringent.

You might have to experiment. Some GDI features are simply not supported. Ex: hashing patterns.

If you are using the End User version, you need to talk to your software vendor.

Did you resolve this issue? If not you may need to open a case with our Technical Support team or you may want to try our latest version 3.03.

Hello,

Are you printing a pdf file from Acrobat Reader to the PDF Printer?

Please note that if You are printing a pdf file to the pdf printer the only way to get a good output is to select 'Print As Image'. We disabled printing a pdf file to our printer because the results are not always good.

Printing transparencies requires PS Simulation ON but PS simulation does not work with A.R.

Hope this helps.

I ended up merging our annotations onto the image bitmap before sending to the amyuni converter, rather than calling separate leadtools annotation printing calls. This resolved our issue.
