Hello Joan,

As stated in this thread, your developer's team is working in a patch for this issue more or less since November 2007...

Not a living issue but we expect it solved because of even the workaround isn't so difficult we want unnatended install without the need of doing task to get product working... even more for people like us that buyed developers editions to integrate function in own software.

We reported this inside our Suscription Period and asked about it every month since then...

Product is GREAT, we don't need anymore from it but any UPDATE to FIX this issue.

What shoud we expect about?

Many thanks in advance.

Is this issue fixed in version 3.03 released on October 7,2008?
I can not find any fixes for 64 bit operating system documented in Versions.txt file.

Hello,

The fix was not incorporated in 3.03, it will be included in our next version 3.5.

We will release a patch for 3.03 containing this fix because there is a lot of customers waiting for it, so we will not make you wait until version 3.5 is online.

Hope this helps.

More and more of our clients are buying new laptops that come with Vista X64. We find it difficult to get the clients to walk through the process of creating a dummy port and it is making us look unprofessional.

When is the patch 3.05 scheduled for release?

Hello,

It has been a while you are waiting for this post.

We have uploaded an updated version of the PDF Converter which now can be successfully installed under 64-bits without any user workaround.

If you are evaluating the product please just re-download the evaluation version again. If you are a licensed user you can download it from the link below: https://www.amyuni.com/en/support_user/updates.php

Cheers

Thanks Joan.

I am not seeing an option for an 'update' but it does give us the option to purchase version 3.03. Would this version contain the abovementioned fix?

Yes it contains the fix, you can downlaod and evaluation version and check it.

It is not giving you an update option because you may not have a current maintenance plan.

I downloaded it, but checking file differences I see nothing new...
It's possibile I'm already using the latest one, but... from what can I tell it?
Is there a version number, a timestamp or such to check, to be sure I have the latest one?
I'm using version 3.0.3, from the PDF Suite...
Thank you in advance!

The version number of the build is still 3.03. Please download it and try install it on 64-bits.

As we didn't change any of the dlls but only the installer, we kept the same version number.

Hi Joan,

I wonder if you can help - I'm trying to get hold of the updated install.exe which allows the driver to work correctly on x64 windows.

My colleague is the licensed developer for this but when he logs in to your site there is no download option available. Given that the license was paid for etc and this is a bug fix can you please make it available to all users?

The only option available is to purchase v4 - which we can't do. We just need the install.exe from v3.03

Is there a link you can post to allow me to download this - obviously i wouldn't be able to use it without a license so i would have thought you'd have this available somewhere public?

p.s. No i'm not developing this - i just need to install it on an x64 bit version of Vista! ;)

Thanks,
James.

Hello James,

Sorry for not getting back to you earlier.

Actually this type of requests usually should go to our Technical Support Team support@amyuni.com they will be able to give you the right installer.

Currently we have version 3.03e and 4.0 online. 3.03e has the 64bits fix but it is not Microsoft Certified, version 4.0 has the 64-bits fix and is Microsoft Certified.

please send an email to support to help you out getting the right installer.
