I just downloaded the latest PDF Converter PRO Developer update an installed it on a Windows Vista 32 bit machine. Everything works as expected until trying to print to the Amyuni PDF Converter printer from Internet Explorer 7. Nothing happens. When printing from any other application I either get a pdf file or the standard "printer not activated" error message. With IE7 I get nothing.
As far as I can tell this is specific to IE7 on Vista. IE7 on XP works as expected. The same issue exists with the previous 2.5 version of Converter.
Is this a known issue? Is there a work-around?
Thanks,
Charles
Internet Explorer 7 on Vista
Hello
The problem is the Protected Mode security setting of IE7 and not the PDF Converter. This would allow you to print the website, but would not allow untrusted websites to save files to disk, even through the Amyuni PDF Converter. Therefore, if you are experiencing this problem, you need to do one of two things:
1. Temporarily disable the Protected Mode setting when you try to print to the Amyuni printer.
2. Add the site you are trying to print to your list of trusted websites.
Hope that helps?
