Hello Cedric,

This message means that someone is trying to print to the PDF Printer while it is not actiivate.

Please check which version of the PDF Converter you are installing on the User's machine (Developer or End User) and wheter you are calling Enable Printer right after your call to DriverInit and right before each Print out.

If you still get this message please let me know

activation error

Post by cedric »

Hye !

The same dll (cdinft250.dll developper) is installed on both of the configurations (developper's PC and User's PC).

And I run enableprinter just before the print command.

I don't understand  ???

Do I have to put enableprinter just after driverinit ?

Hello,

Please find here the list of possible error codes we have.
List of possible errors when the printer is not activated:

Error Code -20: Name of licensee could not be read
Source: License registry entry not found

Error Code -21: Activation code could not be read
Source: (Code registry entry not found)

Error Code -22: Activation code does not correspond to Licensee
Source: wrong combination of Licensee/Code

Error Code -30: Timeout, printer has timed out

Error Code -40: The activation code is not for the right Windows version (e.g. an activation code for XP 32-bits used under XP 64-bits)

Error Code -41: The activation code that is used is for a lower version number. (e.g. a 2.1 activation code used with version 2.5)
Developers can change the error message that is shown when an error occurs by calling:
SetPrinterParamStr( "Activation Error Title", "My title" )
SetPrinterParamStr( "Activation Error Text", "My text" )

To completely disable the error dialog box, the Title and Text should be set to empty strings.
