Paper Settings Tab

Use the options from the Paper Settings tab to specify how documents print.  With these options you can specify the paper size, resolution, and physical margins.

All standard paper sizes supported by Microsoft Windows are also supported by the DOCX Converter.

 

To Select Paper Settings:

  1. Click the Paper Settings tab.

  2. Select the following options:

 

Option

Function

Paper Size

This is the default paper size for new documents and is usually set by the client application.

The default value for the paper size is A4 or Letter depending on the country where the product is used.

The default values for custom paper sizes are 100 mm X 100 mm.

To Use:

From the Paper Size list, select a paper size or click the Custom button to specify your own.

Resolution

To set the image resolution in dots per inch (DPI). Text resolution also improves by increasing this value.

The default value is 600 DPI.

To Use:

From the Resolution list, select a DPI setting.

Orientation

To set the layout of the document contents. Applications usually set this parameter internally.

The default value is Portrait.

To Use:

From the Orientation list, select a page layout.

Physical Margins (millimeters)

Most printers have a minimum physical margin below which they cannot print. Applications use this value to prevent users from drawing outside the printable area.

The default value is 12.5 mm X 12.5 mm.

To Use:

In the Horizontal and Vertical text boxes, enter a numerical value.

 

  1. Click OK.
