I have a 32 bit application using Amyuni PDF Converter 5.5.0.
I notice that when printing hundreds of PDF files for several hours, CPU usage for SPLWOW64 climbs to the point where the computer is no longer usable.
How does Amyuni PDF Converter interact with SPLWOW64?
What are recommended settings or API calls to use and avoid?
Will direct printing eliminate calls to SPLWOW64? How to set direct printing?
Is there something in Amyuni PDF converter to signal SPLWOW64 to release resources and/or close.

Re: SPLWOW64 high CPU usage
Direct printing only slows the printing process.
Re: SPLWOW64 high CPU usage
Hello,
The splwow64.exe is the printing subsystem for 32-bit applications. The splwow64.exe process gets executed each time a 32-bit application tries printing to a printer attached to the system.
One way to not have windows use splwow64.exe is to build a 64bit version of your application.
Thanks
